Home Birth

Healthy women with low risk pregnancies are excellent candidates to have their babies at home. The midwives at Redding Midwifery Group will attend home births for families within a 30 mile radius of Mercy Medical Center, or within 10 minutes South of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. For some women, home birth is what allows labor to progress smoothly as they are the most comfortable in their own space. Your birth team will arrive at your home when you are in active labor and remain with you until you and baby are stable after the delivery. Everything provided at the birth center for your delivery is brought to your home to ensure you and the baby remain safe throughout the experience.
